Shopping In Mandarin

Wednesday December 31, 2008

When you are out shopping, try out this Mandarin sentence pattern to get exactly what you want:

Nǐ yǒu méiyǒu XX yìdiǎnde?

This means "Do you have one a little XX?" The XX can be replaced with just about any adjective, such as:

  • dà (bigger)
  • xiǎo (smaller)
  • piányi (less expensive)
  • hǎo (better)
  • tián (sweeter)
  • hóng (redder)
